Your Local Chimney Cleaning Experts
Our Chimney Services
Dave is commonly called a Chimney Sweep, and he is. We offer annual services such as chimney sweeping, gas log clean and service, and dryer vent cleaning. As a part of these fireplace services, there will include an inspection. The code requires a CSIA Certified Chimney Technician to sweep your fireplace and complete a level 1 inspection. Our rate for a sweep or gas log service includes the level 1 inspection and service call as part of the fee. If a level 2 inspection is requested, there will be an additional charge. All estimates, services, and inspections come with a fee, and will be due at time of service.
Leaking fireplaces and the damages they cause are more common than chimney fires due to creosote. Rain season may be the time you recognize this; however, this was something that is occurring over time and will worsen, causing extensive damage to your fireplace and the surrounding structure of your home. We can repair a number of details for your leaking chimney, as well as fire damage. A Chimney fire burns at up to 2100 degrees F. This can quickly crack Flu tiles, warp or melt metal pipe, even get into the walls of your home. Storms can also cause extensive damage. Pipe and caps ripped from the house, leaving a partial fireplace and pipe, caps or chase pans removed and mangled by straight-line winds, trees fallen on masonry to break flu tiles, Crown, even bricks. All of these repairs require a CSIA Certified Tech to put you back into a approved situation for you to burn your fireplace. It is never safe to assume you can just put gas logs in a damaged wood burning unit into bypass insurance or added out of pocket cost.
Here is a list of regular repairs offered by Dave's Chimney Service per Code requirements:
